PMG Shipyard is a Thailand-based custom builder, established in 2004, and the Cora 48 is part of the line that built their reputation for serious catamaran engineering.

At 14.75m LOA, she’s built with an FRP hull and a diesel shaft-drive system paired with hydraulic steering. In other words, this is a straightforward, serviceable setup — not an exotic drivetrain that’s hard to maintain in Southeast Asia. She cruises at 11 knots, with an 18-knot top speed. So, she’s built for efficient, comfortable passages rather than outright performance.

The 3-cabin, 3-head layout gives her real liveaboard capacity. Meanwhile, her shallow 0.99m draft is unusually low for a boat this size. As a result, she can reach anchorages and marinas that deeper-draft catamarans simply can’t enter.

PMG Shipyard built its name on custom catamaran work out of Rayong, Thailand, including some of the first solar-assisted luxury catamarans ever produced. The Cora 48 carries that same engineering discipline, even in this conventional diesel configuration.

Because PMG Shipyard builds in relatively low volume, a Cora 48 like this doesn’t come to market often.
